This explains what Just Lovedit collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect only what the site needs to work.

What we collect

Account details: your email, and your name and phone number if you give them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
Password: stored only as a one-way hash. We can’t read it.
Your Edit: the brands you love.
Brand activity: counts of views, store clicks and loves for each brand, used to show brands how they did. These counts are not shown with your name.
Brand applications: the details a brand gives us when it applies, such as the founder’s name, WhatsApp number, email, Instagram, store link and answers about the label.
Technical data: your IP address, used to limit abuse such as repeated sign-in attempts and spam, and cookies that keep you signed in.

How we use it

To run your account, keep you signed in, show your Edit, reply to brand applications, send you updates about edits (you can opt out), report numbers to brands, and keep the site secure. We don’t sell your personal data.

Who else handles it

We use a few services to run the site:

Google, for sign-in with Google;
MongoDB, to store our data;
Vercel, to host the site.

They process data on our behalf under their own terms. When you tap through to a brand’s store, that brand’s own privacy policy applies there. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Reset links expire after an hour. Brand applications are kept while we are considering them and for a reasonable time after.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or stop updates, at any time by contacting us below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires.

Children

The site is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and tell you on the site if the change matters.
